I decided to use this program to lighten the load of my safari browser. So far, I’ve had a number of glitches and it isn’t like most other mac programs, but I will continue using it, hoping the future updates will correct the minor problems of right now. When you open it, the upper menu continues to display the Finder menu and that is somewhat unusual. The settings and preferences are easy enough to figure out and change. The main complaint of mine: since the program has no upper menu options, the Finder doesn’t show it in the “force quit” menu and the major inconvenience of that is having to restart the entire system just to fix the program crash. Otherwise, it seems very nice and is a good choice for a dedicated Facebook program. Hopefully, the glitches I mentioned will be fixed ASAP. Once they are, I’ll gladly give it a five star review.

I have been using this for some time. How ever since Yosemite it keeps on crashing and crashing and crashing. Flash app error, Just any type of error. They need to fix this.

Very nice app, works well in general, except that whenever I try to full screen a video, the video just disappear which is kind of frustrating. Hope this little bug will be fix in the next update.

but the app keep moving around on multiple screens setup...

An easy to use app the works consisitently and does what it should. It stays out of the way and yet keeps you connected so you can easily be engaged without taking too much time away from your other computer work. I use it for 90% of any facebook activity on my laptop. Good job.

Can’t play shered movie by notification

after update to el capitan, there is an issue with movies which uses flash - they stuck whole app for couple seconds. it’s realy annoying...

A great application that lets you browse the Facebook. However, there are some inconvenience, which prevent the full use of this application. One such of the inconvenience is the inability to browse articles in an application that needs to use the browser to open the article. Another such a shortcoming is the lack of the ability to save these articles for example: pocket.

It’s the best Facebook app I’ve ever tried!

I think to have tested all the FB app available on the store. This is the best one. Easy to use full as the desktop version and light. Very kind and considering that it’s free it’s a must have!

So the app is convenient but buggy.. you get a notification of red that you have new notifications on facebook.. when you open the app.. and click on notifications nothing happens.. it sorta locks up and you have to click it multiple times to finally get it to open.. not a huge fan.. better off just having a web page link on my desktop to Facebook UPDATE: I downgraded this app to two stars.. it is so buggy and locks up all the time.. and it’s not user error.. I’m a network engineer.. clean Mac and no other issues.. this is just badly coded folks.

It changed the notifications which is really annoying. Now names do not show when I get a message (Major nuisance)… And if I switch to my phone to message, my message cause a notification on my Mac to pop up. (minor nuisance)

I’ve used this app for a while, and had a few problems, but not that many. However, with the latest update, a virus came along. It interrupts whatever you’re doing on any browser, opens Safari, and takes you to a blank page. I did a little searching on google and found out this was a common problem for a lot of people, and the answer was to uninstall this app. So I did, and the virus is gone.

Due to Facebook constantly releasing updates to the website, the app itself doesn’t keep up to any of the new features and creates bugs for the user. Like the new video layout causing comments and everything to mess up where you can’t scroll to see comments on the video. Would love to give 5 stars if they would update the app more often… Edit: I like how the latest update says “Bug Fixes” yet they never fixed the most prevalent bug of them all. I don’t know what bugs they were fixing because I never noticed any other issue than the one above…..

I’ve run into a problem ever since FB updated their SSL certificate system and tried to make it backward compatible. All browsers are reporting SSL errors. Only Firefox provides any useful information - SSL header too long. Probably the rigging FB does to make their newer SSL cert backward compatible doesn’t fit into the size of an SSL handshake my Mac is looking for. I’m not sure if it’s related to IPV6 or not, but that’s a possibility. The app “Go for Facebook” just works and provides all the needed functionality even when all other browsers are breaking (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari). I have had no issues whatsoever with the app and find it handy to have in the menu bar just a click away. I don’t really hang out in FB all that much, but it’s just a click away. The (default) option to hide FB ads is a very nice touch too. Right-click the icon and go to Preferences to look at the variety of options including autocorrect (default OFF). While the app may lag behind the website in terms of features, for what I use it the app works well. I like the ability for it to hide when I click into another window (or leave it open) and the one-click access makes it very easy to use. I don’t live in Facebook like many of FBs users, but the experience in the app is actually better than the website for me.

Video comment section on theatre mode never scrolls, and video doesn’t have a fullscreen toggle.

very useful and easy

i have been usng this app for the last4 years. i enjoy the easy access to Facebook without having to open my browser. i also like the integration with notifications.

I’ve stopped using this app. Clicking it in the manu bar would cause it to freeze. Loading video other than embedded Youtube would cause it to crash trying to load Flash. I’m better off loading a separate browser tab and minimizing it in that window. No longer going to waste the resources on it.
