Go for Facebook - Unofficial App Reviews

Well, I’m a previous user of paying version of MenuTab Pro for Facebook, and got the impression that I had to switch to Go for FaceBook in order to get the new version of your App. However, even though I already paid you for your software doesn’t mean I want to be nagged about other softwares you publish via Notifications on my Mac. Please stop doing this at all, or at least provide an option in order to disable this behaviour… There are already enough ads on the Web, I don’t want to suffer from those in apps as well, at least for the non-free ones.

No problems so far with the app, I’m on version 1.1, I can watch videos (not as Valle.Paiva said on version 1.0) and the interface is just like the mobile app and the web app (you can change between views). Amazing! 11/10.

A really nice App, please add “refresh" and "full screen” keyboard shortcuts. Update: a possibility to see web content (external links) inside of the App would be great. Just like in the MOBILE MODE.

I like this app and I use it every day. But it crashes often and you often cant click something or the preview that normally apperears on Facebook, when you hover above a link or name doesnt appear. At time you can not see the cursor, so you dont know if you are in the right chat to type, the list goes on. The app, unfortunately, is full of bugs and I never received any update adressing that. Thats sad. Also some key functions are missing: E.g. I cant donwload something that was posted in a group (pdfs, etc.), I have to go the webbrowser version to do so. Its also not possible to swipe right or left to go back and forth like in Safari. Very unintuitive I must say. There is much more I could say, but you get the point. Overall I could recommend this app to people who regularly use Facebook, but at the moment I would suggest to wait until there is a bugfixed version, that also has the same features (or even more?) than the webbrowser version does.

Best Facebook app so far. Love it!

I did like the app but I have my Mac froze 2 min after using the app. Wasnt sure if it was the app first. But then it did it again right again while I was using the app. So nice app but since it crashes my computer completely (couldnt do anything except reboot the computer) I wouldnt be confortable using it if I am working on something at the same time.

I like the convenience of this program eay to use

love this app! fits right on the menu bar, opens super quick when i click it, and easily closes when anything else is launched. the colour notifications are also super cute. i’ve experienced no problems with it so far.

This is my favourite Facebook App to date. It has made doing other stuff on my computer easier while still maintaining a connection with what is happening on FB including messenger chat.

I tried to open the app. twice and it would not open

Very quick…. Simple to use…. Totally meets all of my needs…. Great App….!

The app is clean, great looking, works just as FB would work in the web browser but I find it’s a tad faster than in the browser. I love the fact that I get my notifications and have it as a seperate app so that I don’t have to open safari everytime. So far I love it.

When I try to watch a video it says “Blocked Plug-in” or the video just doesn’t load

this app should act , be a bit like a browser , once u click a link or whatever on facebook it should open it within the app itself and not open it with safari , thats my main dislike of this app for now …. wish it does that soon
