Good, But Could Be Better
If you don’t use the Notifications list in Facebook, I expect you’d enjoy this app a great deal - It makes Facebook accessible in the menu bar, which is a tremendous convenience, and makes it trivial to hide the window quickly, which is useful at work. The most notable issue is that I’m frequently using the "Reset App Window” function, which is accessible from the menu bar icon, to solve a problem such as ’stuck’ scrolling or the keyboard not working. That (almost) always solves whatever problem I’m having, but it’s mildly irritating to have to do it at all, never mind two or three times over the course of a day.
If you do use the Notifications list, you’ll likely get irritated by the fact that it loses track of where you are in the list, and returns you to the top of the list every time you click on a list item. Aside from being annoying, this can actually have a financial impact if you have bandwidge caps from your ISP (it appears to download the older notifications each time I scroll through them, rather than caching them in memory.)
I’d love to give this app five stars if they solve these problems, as it does have a lot of functional advantages.
